Lakers get two home wins

The Laker baseball team got two solid pitching performances from Bradie Moore and Skylar Kanacsky to sweep Scotland Prep Sunday afternoon 11-0 17-3 at the Diamond at the Lake. In game one, Moore went the distance throwing five innings, giving up just two hits while striking out six Knight batters. Quintin Smith led the offense going 2-3 while driving in three runs. Brandon Lucas, Peyton Carr and Nate Darwin each had two hits and drove in a run. In game two, Kanacsky gave up no runs on one hit while striking out six. The Lakers took advantage of 10 walks and four hit by pitchs to score 17 runs in the night-cap. Tameron Jones drove in two runs as did Colby Johnson. With the wins, the Lakers improve to 6-4 on the year. They will travel to Allegany College of Maryland for a doubleheader on Tuesday March 16. First pitch will be 1pm.
